Now don't take this wrong... But honestly, when I first saw this I'd never have taken it for one of yours because that is just how professional this shot looks!  Superb job, my friend! :iconclapplz:

Personally I love it. My eyes jump straight to the ornament and the string from the light in it. It's in focus and all of the other colors and decor are blurred so I can definitely see the ornament as the main focal point. Nice photo!! :iconlawooplz:

Thanks  i feel like I should of had more go on in the rest of it. I feel like my eyes are glued to the ornament and nowhere else. Its not guided enough if that makes sense. Heard that and agreed with someone who was giving me some pointers ^^ Oh yeah and I say? I WON lol. Thank you though

Really? I like it as is :D  I also noticed the candy cane and a few other things in the background like the lights and what appears to be a string of beads/pearls/little balls (o.O shineeeeyyyyyyy). If you wanted the eyes to go from point to point then I can understand but yeah, my eyes do stay glued to the ornament until I force them to focus on the other items but I still love it.
And again CONGRATULATIONS!!! :iconlawooplz::hug: So happy for you!!

Thanks :P  Yeah :aww: I did like I had a lot going on but thats the issue, you didn't notice all that detail in the background at first! But thank you :) I still really like it as well :)

 Thanks!!!! I told myself I would never buy a premium until I first won one in a contest! :)

No, at first I noticed some of the details (but I just noticed the beads when I looked again lol). :la:

Lol, I'm not sure if I'm wording it right. I noticed a lot when first looking at it. The main focal point for me was the ornament which kept it from being too overwhelming but then my eyes eased into the other details. Later when I went back to look at it, I noticed the beads which I didn't notice the first time. Make sense?

 Awesome!!! Hope they give it to you soon! Lol, it seems to me like you're very patient.

Ah ok, I get ya! I still wish it was a little more guided though. I think thats one of my many hurtles lol.

 Thanks! haha yeah well I've dealt with these shitty ads for six years now so no harm dealing with it a few more days lol. If I don't see anything tomorrow I may ask about it.

... More thoughts after looking at it again: another thing to try would be keeping that ornament as a big point and adding 2 smaller focusing points. It'll help the eyes move around more because the colors actually create more of a quick flicker. And maybe having a slower and guided movement might help?

Thank you for the critique.. or best we can do lol! When you said "add a light color around it like a glow" you mean with secondary lighting? I definitely see what your trying to say though. Especially with this second bit! I felt there was not enough movement in the piece (i hope i used that right lol) when i was editing it but wasn't sure what I could do. I just feels like your eyes stick right to that little bauble and then thats it lol. I like your suggestions, hopefully my dumb ass will implement them in future shoots lol. Thank you so much this helped a lot :aww:

It could be secondary light....or just have an aura around it?
I think adding 2 other focal points just might do the trick tough.

Hmm ok. When you talk about adding an 'aura' you mean like adding it in post, digitally?
Yeah, good point. Next shot I'm planning that could come in handy for sure. I want it to be a cup of eggnog and I will have to make sure to add a few things around it to balance things out. Lighting will prolly be my next biggest hurtle.. you know of any good lighting tutorials or anything? :)

Yes digitally unless you want to set it up in real and retake the shot...?
Honestly no..... everything I know was learned in class. I am sure there is stuff online for it though Misty likely youtube has something?

Ok assumed thats what you meant but I was realizing when looking at it it prolly would of worked better with auxiliary lighting but maybe I'll try that when I get the chance, adding an aura digitally.
Ah ok fair enough. I'll take a look, yeah. youtube was my next thought!

Okay it looks good!
Suggestion: focus on that ornament a bit more... Because the colors distract from the focal point. Either add a light color around it like a glow to contrast the strong blue colors or make those other colors fade a bit...dim down a bit.
IDK if that helps?
